    Itinerary

    Below is a general itineray and similiar to what you might expect on your trip of a lifetime!

    Day 1 - Helsinki, Finland: We all meet at our hotel.
    Day 2 - Murmansk, Russia: we arrive in this growing nothern city. The Yamal awaits us!
    Day 3 - Barents Sea: We are enroute to Franz Joesf Land and the lecture series begins.
    Days 4 & 5 - Franz Joesf Land: we visit a land not discovered until 1873.
    Days 6 & 7 - To the North Pole: We continue enroute to this magical destination.
    Day 8 - We celebrate our landing at the North Pole with a barbecue on the ice!
    Days 9 & 10 - Heading Southward: while viewing magnificant icescapes and wildlife.
    Days 11 & 12 - Novaya Zemlya: This is a remote island group off the Siberian coast.
    Day 13 - Barents Sea: We reluctantly return to Murmansk.
    Day 14 - Murmansk: Say goodbye to the Yamal, hello to Helsinki!
    Day 15 - After a breakfast, its a flight home.

    Your Expedition Includes:

    Voyage on board the ice breaker Yamal
    Hotel accommodations in a shared twin room for two nights with breakfast
    All meals while aboard ship
    All shore excursions and activities throughout the voyage by Zodiac
    Helicopter flying time equal to two hours per passenger
    Program lectures by noted naturalists and an experienced expedition staff
    Comprehensive pre-departure materials and an Arctic Handbook
